Reflection of unit 2

In this unit I learned familiar concepts that I didn't know about online learning, concepts, that if we want to become instructors of the formenitoned course. These concepts are well known around the online community and will continue to flourish as time passes on. I also got the opportunity to work with a partner for the first time, to build exercises for an online course and got a glimpse of all the steps a tutor needs to take to design an effective activity. Finally there was also some interesting input on distance and online communication that is very useful for students and teachers alike.

Reflection of unit 1

This unit taught me a lot of things I didn't know, like the differences between distance and open education. It was very important for me to learn that they're similar but not the same, open Education lacks of structure and it's more flexible for the students, which allows the to be more creative when handing in their projects. Distance Education focuses more on technology and instructional systems that deliver education to the students who are not physically there.
Hardly any communication is needed, but in both cases feedback is obviously required by the teacher.
I also learned some important differences between traditional education and distance education, as already mentioned distance education is focused more on technology. Traditional Education requires constant assitance to a certain classroom or place, having contact with teachers in classmates, while in distance education you may never have to see your classmates and teacher, also the way of delivery and the tools we use for interaction are the characteristics that also differentiate these two.
